Delta-V is a change in velocity, and is often represented by the symbol Δv. It’s equal to the acceleration integrated over time and serves as the inspiration for our company name: DeltaV Security (DVS).

About The Founder:
Meet the owner of DeltaV Security, Rob Cambra. Rob is a military veteran, having served in the United States Army for four years, some of that time in Desert Storm. After active duty, he served another seven years in the North Carolina Army National Guard.
Rob attended East Carolina University and graduated with a BS degree in Industrial Technology. While at ECU, he had a part time job working for a Novell integrator and learned how to build computers and computer networks. After graduation, he began his career as an engineer in the manufacturing industry where he put his network engineering skills to work. Rob attended night classes to attain his MCSE certification during Microsoft’s early dominance of Active Directory in the computer networking space. He also leveraged his leadership skills to lead several large scale EPR implementations.
Well before large companies began to make national news by getting hacked, Rob developed a passion for security. From the COMSEC (Communications Security) experience Rob had from the military, he became a change advocate of ensuring that IT infrastructure is built with security as a primary requirement. In addition, he recognizes that cybersecurity is more about culture than it is about technology. Organizations are run by people and not technology and to put cybersecurity in the strategic space, you build strategies based on the language of risk. Rob developed a simplified method based on risk called IWIC to expedite effectively closing security gaps for organizations of all sizes.
Whether it’s a Mac, Windows, or Linux computer, Rob is at home. Given the right components, Rob can build a computer from parts. A self-proclaimed certified geek, he’s done everything from running Ethernet cables in ceilings to enterprise network design and just about everything in between.
Rob has almost 30 years of experience working in the IT infrastructure and cybersecurity fields. His experience spans the manufacturing and utility sectors. Currently, he resides in Valdese, NC with his wife Christian. Rob and Christian have one son, Ian who lives in Charlotte, NC with his fiancé Jessica. They enjoy hiking, gardening, reading, traveling, cooking and are foodies.
